To keep the proposal a complete surprise, I “ran into” Nick and Alexandra near the Mayan ruins at Punta Sur, pretending to be a photographer from Colorado who was trying to build her portfolio. I asked if they’d mind doing a mini photo session, and Alexandra happily said yes!
I led them to the exact spot Nick had chosen for the proposal and instructed them to face each other. That was Nick’s subtle cue to begin. As he dropped to one knee, the look on Alexandra’s face was absolutely priceless — a mixture of surprise, joy, and happy tears that made every second magical. Capturing that authentic, emotional reaction was unforgettable.
From Proposal to Engagement Session
After the excitement of the proposal, we started their engagement photo session right there at Punta Sur. The cliffs, the Caribbean blue water, and the golden sunlight created a stunning backdrop for their first photos as an engaged couple.
