Marriage Proposal and Engagement at Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres | Kevin + Hightdy

If you look up the word soulmates in the dictionary, I have a strange suspicion you’ll see a photo of Kevin and Hightdy. These two incredible people where made for each other!

They met on a dating app, as many now-a-days do. After weeks of anticipation, they finally met in person. Kevin shares “The moment we were together, everything just fell into place, and it felt like we were meant to find each other all along. We’ve been together for 5 magical years.”

A few months before the big ‘I DO’, I received an email from Kevin. They were planning a vacation in Cancun and would be staying at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun. Although Kevin initially thought a proposal on the mainland would be good, he spent some time looking through my imagery and quickly realized that Isla Mujeres, and specifically Punta Sur, was the place for his proposal. Kevin was a bit nervous about the logistics of getting from their Cancun hotel to the island and out to Punta Sur, but felt relieved when I shared with him the timeline and detailed instructions. It had everything he needed and put him at ease.

A few weeks later, I asked Hightdy how she felt right after the proposal and she said “Turning around to see the love of my life on one knee proposing to me, I was completely overwhelmed with so many emotions. Mostly joy, shock, excitement, almost even nervousness. But most of all it was an ethereal feeling. I felt lighter on my feet, and I couldn’t wait to spend the rest of my life with my now fiancé.”
