A Joy-Filled Punta Sur Proposal on Isla Mujeres | Corey & Angel

There’s something incredibly special about photographing couples who are completely themselves together — full of laughter, playful energy, inside jokes, and genuine connection. Corey and Angel were exactly that kind of couple from the very beginning. After four years together, Corey planned the perfect surprise proposal for Angel during their vacation to Isla Mujeres, and it could not have been a more joyful afternoon to photograph.

For the proposal location, Corey chose the iconic Lookout Balcony at Punta Sur — one of the most breathtaking spots on the island. Perched along the dramatic cliffs overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Punta Sur offers sweeping ocean views, rugged coastline textures, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and cinematic at the same time. As Angel admired the incredible view, Corey got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Her reaction was filled with complete surprise, excitement, and happy tears.

After the proposal, we spent time wandering through the cliffside pathways and seawalks around Punta Sur capturing their engagement photos. Corey and Angel were an absolute joy to photograph — constantly laughing, dancing, joking with each other, and fully embracing the moment together. Their playful personalities made every photo feel natural, effortless, and full of life.

Once we finished at Punta Sur, we hopped into my golf cart and headed to one of my favorite secluded beach locations on the island, far away from the busy tourist areas. Waiting for them was a romantic beach setup complete with a cozy blanket and a chilled bottle of champagne. They kicked off their shoes, relaxed together in the sand, toasted to their engagement, and soaked in the beautiful Caribbean sunset while we continued taking photos along the shoreline.

To end the evening, I dropped them off for a romantic dinner at Rosa Sirena's Restaurant — the perfect way to celebrate such an unforgettable day together.
