Surprise Proposal and Engagement Session at Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres | Zach + Ashley

Zach had a big plan in mind when he reached out to me about proposing to his girlfriend, Ashley, on Isla Mujeres. Although they were staying at the Grand Park Royal Hotel in Cancun, Zach had never visited Isla Mujeres before, which made him a bit nervous about pulling off the surprise proposal. He wanted everything to go perfectly, but I assured him that he didn’t have to worry. I provided him with step-by-step instructions, from when to leave his hotel to how to get to the proposal spot at Punta Sur. With everything organized, Zach was able to focus on what mattered most—asking Ashley to spend the rest of her life with him.

After carefully considering several locations, Zach decided that Punta Sur’s Lookout Point was the perfect place for his proposal. This stunning spot, perched above the cliffs with sweeping ocean views, would provide the ideal backdrop for this special moment. The day arrived, and despite the nerves, Zach stayed calm. As planned, Ashley was completely unaware of what was about to happen. When they reached the Lookout Point, she turned around and was met with Zach down on one knee, holding out the ring. Her reaction was priceless—surprise, joy, and excitement filled the air as she said “Yes!”

Once the excitement of the proposal had settled, I introduced myself to Ashley and explained that Zach had hired me to capture their special moment. Now, it was time to shift gears and start their engagement session! Ashley was thrilled to have their memories professionally documented, and we quickly moved into the next chapter of their day.

We spent some time walking around the cliffs of Punta Sur, taking beautiful photos of the newly engaged couple. The backdrop of the turquoise ocean and rugged cliffs made for a stunning setting, and we got some incredible shots capturing their love and happiness. As we continued exploring, we hopped into my golf cart and made our way to a quieter stretch of beach. The beach provided a perfect, tranquil spot for more intimate shots as the sun began to dip.

After capturing those final moments, I took Zach and Ashley back to the ferry dock, where they headed back to their hotel in Cancun. It was truly a beautiful day for a beautiful couple, and I felt so honored to have been a part of such an important moment in their lives. I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness as they embark on this exciting new chapter together.
