Proposal and Engagement Session at Punta Sur, Isla Mujeres | Young + Kat

Young and Kat’s love story began nearly five years ago when they met at work in a hospital. From the start, Young knew he was in love with her, and as their relationship blossomed, Kat continued to show him just how perfect she was for him.

For their proposal, Young had a special plan in mind. He wanted to pop the question while on vacation in Cancun, at the Iberostar Selection Cancun Coral all-inclusive resort. After some research, Young discovered my website and, as he looked through the photos, he knew Punta Sur was the perfect spot. He immediately reached out, and I was thrilled to be part of their unforgettable moment.

Leading up to the proposal, Young was a bundle of nerves and excitement. He told me he was “nervous, excited, and thrilled,” but as the moment drew near, his heart was filled with joy, and his stomach with butterflies. When the time came, it was everything he had hoped for. The look of pure excitement on Kat’s face when Young got down on one knee was priceless.

Later, I asked Kat how she felt in that moment, and she shared, “Great! Ecstatic and overjoyed.”

After the proposal and the initial excitement, I told Kat that Young had hired me for the entire experience, including their engagement session. We spent the next hour exploring the cliffs of Punta Sur, capturing beautiful photos while they shared their love story. We finished up with stunning sunset photos before I drove them back to the ferry in my golf cart so they could cross over to Cancun and continue their celebration.
