Hi! I’m Susan
I've been photographing couples professionally since 2005 and have been fortunate to document hundreds of love stories here on Isla Mujeres, where I've lived for more than a decade.
Almost every couple tells me they're nervous about being in front of the camera. The good news? You don't need any experience. My approach is relaxed and natural, focusing on genuine connection rather than stiff poses or forced smiles.
I'll gently guide you throughout the session while creating space for authentic moments to unfold naturally. The result is a collection of images that not only capture what you looked like during your time on Isla Mujeres, but also how it felt to be together.

This add-on extends your session and includes additional edited images in your gallery.
Secluded Beach Collection
For couples who love the beach, but prefer a more secluded setting, these sessions take place on a beautiful stretch of coastline away from the island's busier beach areas, featuring volcanic rock formations, crashing waves, and stunning ocean views.
Sessions begin during the last hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and most flattering.
Please note that this collection concludes before sunset and does not include sunset photos.
Photos take place along the shoreline, among the rocks, and in the water if you'd like.
Secluded Beach - $425 USD

Half Moon Bay Collection
For those who want to stay on the north side of the island, but don’t want to go to the touristy Playa Norte, Half Moon Bay is a quiet stretch of beach on the north-east corner of the island. Here, you’ll enjoy a mix of beach, crashing waves and volcanic rock. We will also take photos at one of the colorful buildings near the beach.
Sessions begin during the last hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and most flattering.

Playa Norte Collection
Playa Norte offers a classic Isla Mujeres beach setting with soft white sand, turquoise water, and a pier that adds texture and variety to your images.
Sessions begin in the late afternoon when the light is softer and more flattering. We'll continue photographing through golden hour and sunset, capturing the beautiful colors that develop as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Photos take place along the shoreline, at the pier, and in the water if you'd like.

Historic Centro Collection
Experience a different side of Isla Mujeres as we explore the colorful streets, murals, and historic charm of downtown Centro.
These one-hour sessions take place one hour after sunrise, when the streets are quiet, the shops are still closed, and the island is just beginning to wake up.
Want a little beach mixed into your session as well? I'd be happy to include a few photos along the shoreline to give you the best of both worlds.

Intimate Beach Collection
Created for couples who want to capture a more intimate and romantic side of their relationship, these sessions focus on connection, chemistry, and the feeling of being completely present with one another. Most couples choose to wear swimsuits for these sessions, creating images that feel natural, carefree, and perfectly suited to the tropical surroundings.
Sessions take place on a secluded stretch of beach and begin during the last hour before sunset when the light is soft, warm, and most flattering.
Please note that this collection concludes before sunset and does not include sunset photos.
Many of the images are artistically presented in black and white, drawing attention to texture, emotion, movement, and the connection you share rather than the scenery itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
We’re staying in Cancun but want to come to Isla Mujeres for our session. How do we get there?
Don't worry! Many of my clients are staying in Cancun and visiting Isla Mujeres for the very first time. Once your session is booked, I'll provide detailed instructions including what time to leave your hotel and which ferry to take.
The ferry ride from Cancun takes only about 20 minutes, and I'll personally meet you when you arrive on the island.
Is Punta Sur difficult to walk around?
Some areas of Punta Sur do involve stairs, rocky walkways, and uneven terrain. Most couples do perfectly fine, but good mobility is recommended and sensible shoes.
What happens if it rains?
If the weather looks questionable, we’ll stay in close communication leading up to the session. Isla weather can change quickly and often passes through fast. In situations where conditions truly aren’t workable, we’ll discuss alternative timing options whenever possible.
How long does it take to receive our photos?
Your final edited gallery is typically delivered within three to four weeks. Rush delivery is available for an additional $100 USD if you’d like your images within 3-4 days.
Do we receive the digital files?
Absolutely. All edited images are delivered in high resolution via digital download and also included in a personalized online gallery that makes it easy to view, download, and share your images with family and friends.
