That was certainly the case for the beautiful proposal I had the privilege of capturing at Punta Sur on Mexico’s Isla Mujeres. When it comes to marriage proposals, there are countless ways to make the moment special, but few compare to the sheer joy and surprise I witnessed when Steve asked the love of his life to spend forever with him.

The day was picture-perfect—clear skies, the sun reflecting off the crystal blue waters, and the rugged beauty of the cliffs at Punta Sur providing the ideal backdrop for such an important moment. As the couple walked hand-in-hand along the edge of the cliffs, the proposal was anything but expected. She had no idea what was coming.
