Isla Mujeres Elopement | Ida and Jason
After capturing beautiful moments during Ida and Jason's pre-ceremony session at Punta Sur, we headed to their private beach location for an intimate and meaningful elopement ceremony coordinated by Isla Mujeres Elopements. The setting was perfect, with the sound of the waves crashing gently on the shore and the sun shining brightly as they walked down the aisle. Alejandro Campos serenaded them with Spanish guitar as Jason and Ida exchanged loving glances and began their journey together.
The ceremony was incredibly personal, filled with heartfelt words of love and faith. Midway through, a light rain began to fall, adding a magical touch to the already intimate atmosphere. The rain was short-lived, but it felt like nature's blessing on their vows. During the ceremony, Jason and Ida participated in a beautiful water blessing, symbolizing their union, followed by a tender petal toss into the Caribbean Sea as an offering to the Mayan goddess, Ixchel.
As they sealed their vows with a kiss, the celebration continued with the popping of a champagne bottle. It was a joyful moment, and we captured even more photos on the beach as the golden hour light bathed the couple in its warmth. Alejandro played soothing Bossa Nova tunes in the background, adding to the romance and magic of the moment.
It was such an honor to coordinate and photograph Ida and Jason's destination elopement on Isla Mujeres. Their love was palpable, and we are so grateful to have been part of this special day. From the intimate ceremony to the stunning sunset photos, it was truly a magical day for a wonderful couple.
