Photographing a surprise marriage proposal is always an incredibly rewarding experience, but when you get to witness the pure joy and emotion of a couple like Mohammed and Felicia, it becomes an unforgettable moment. When Mohammed reached out to me about proposing to his girlfriend, Felicia, during their vacation on Isla Mujeres, I was thrilled to be a part of such an exciting and meaningful moment. Mohammed had planned everything to perfection and wanted to keep it a complete surprise for Felicia. His choice of location was ideal—Wave Point, at Punta Sur, with its breathtaking ocean views and dramatic cliffs, would be the perfect setting for such an important occasion.
As we discussed the details, I could feel the excitement in Mohammed’s voice. He had a clear vision of how he wanted everything to unfold. He chose the late afternoon, when the golden hour light would cast a warm glow over the island and the sea. The plan was simple yet intimate: he would propose right by the sea, at Wave Point, where they could enjoy the spectacular view of the turquoise waters crashing against the cliffs.
